| Types of Female Breast Forms | There is no doubt, that there are much more breast shapes and variance, though, below the most common ones, which are considered to be the basic forms in women, who seek breast augmentation.
This type of breast form is generally called “the ptotic breast with little to no volume”. The word “ptotic” means saggy. Women after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss as well as aging women are common to have such a picture. Therefore, it is necessary to point out, that it is really much dependant upon the individual. Anyway, the way out of a breast situation like that can become the augmentation mammoplasty procedure. There is no doubt that this breast shape requires a large implant. In most cases breast lift is also an extremely advisable operation.
This type of breast form is called “the ptotic breast with much volume”. Women, who have it, are likely to need a breast lift procedure to be conducted. However, there is one good thing about this kind of a breast shape – there is a substantial amount of breast tissue, which can be applied in order to cover the breast implant.
This form of a breast shape is much more common, than one can imagine. Though, women with small breasts may come out with outstanding results with implants. As a rule this form of a breast shape requires the implant to be placed under the pectoral muscle. However, it is also quite possible to conduct the full sub muscular implant placement with the serratus muscles and the rectus abdominus fascia application along with the pectoralis major. Therefore, it is necessary to point out, that one of the problems, which may arise in smaller breast women, can become rippling, although, in case if there is very little breast tissue and if the skin is thin, such woman may become a candidate for silicone filled implants.
Such a breast would rather be called a breast anomaly than a shape; therefore none the less it is a situation which can be corrected. This breast form is usually called “Tubular breasts” or “constricted breasts”, and its correction may result in two problems: 1. the base of the breast can happen to be not wide enough; 2. the nipple along with he areola complex can be partially aigmented because of the herniated breast tissue. As for the ways out of this situation, the base of the breast can be dissected from the chest wall and widened in order to let the implantation of breast prosthesis. As for the areolae, which are either too enlarged, or of a shape of a “tubular”, they can be reduced and be internally sutured in a crisscross pattern underneath it in order to prevemt the tissue from being herniated once again. Anyway, it is extremely necessary to remember, that any of the procedure, described above, are only to be performed by a very qualified surgeon.
This is the picture of the so – called “pectus carinatum” congenital chest deformity with ptosis. In other words, it can be called pigeon chest. And this breast form can not be considered as a breast shape per se, though it rather occurs because of some “deformity” or divergence of the chest. In this case the ribs and the sternum usually protrude. Though, it is also possible that the ribs can be stuck out much further than the sternum, which results in the lack of self esteem or self consciousness of the breasts. Breast implants application would provide the illusion of a “normal” looking chest.
It is also possible to have the breast form, which is opposite of Pectus carinatum. It is called pectus excavatum, when the chest gets sunken in. This problem can be treated with the help of various therapies quite successfully. Therefore, in case if none of them would be advisable to apply, then breast implants or pectoral implants (usually applied in men) can lessen the obviousness of such a “breast disorder”.
